Further afield from VSIP Bac Ninh, on December 11, 2008, VSIP received an investment licence from Hai Phong City Authorities for its project developing the VSIP Hai Phong Township and Industrial Park covering 1,600 ha in which the 1,100 township is being regarded as the new city centre of Hai Phong and 500 ha for IP. It’s is available for booking by early 2009.
Hai Phong is 200km from the Vietnam-Chinese border and an exit point of two important economic corridors in the North of Vietnam: the Kunming-Lao Cai – Hanoi-Hai Phong corridor and the Nanning-Lang Son - Hanoi-Hai Phong corridor. The city is designated to be developed as one of five Grade 1 cities in Vietnam, along with Hanoi in the North, Da Nang in the central region, and Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho in the South.
So far, VSIP has established four township and industrial park projects occupying a total area of 4,845ha of land and creating thousands jobs.
